Tips & Tricks

Tip 1.

When putting nuts on bolts or studs where it is difficult to get movement with tools, it is a really good idea to clean up the threads on both the nut and bolt with a tap and die set. This ensures that the nut is easily put on just using your fingers, thus leaving only the last little bit of thread to torque up instead of having to turn the nut a million times to get it on.  make sure you know the thread size so you can use the correct tap and die tools.

A classic situation where there is very little room to move a spanner is with some carb setups on a classic mini.
